PML-N MPA Mirza Javed adopted a unique way of lodging a protest against a hike in the petroleum products (POL) prices when he, along with his voters, brought a donkey to the petrol pump, (the protest site), at Adda Plot, Raiwind, Lahore, on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mirza Javed said that he had brought a donkey to the protest site to mock the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government’s ‘incompetence’ due to which increase in petroleum products’ prices had become a routine now.
He said inflation had become simply unbearable for the masses and now even grooms in his constituency could not afford the fuel expenses for taking their bride home after solemnizing Nikah.
Protesters even placed placards, inscribed with slogans against the PTI government, on the donkey.
