Poliovirus reported in three Jhang children

The Punjab Health Department on Wednesday said poliovirus has been detected in three children in Jhang taking the tally to four in the district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the report sent to higher authorities, the Health Department said, three-year-old Mudassar Nazar is a resident of Novi Mile Chiniot Road, one and a half year old Shajar Fatima Chand is a resident of Bharwana while one-year-old Amara is a resident of Gandewala in Jhang.

As per the government’s website End Polio, there are 70 poliovirus cases reported in 2020 in Pakistan.
