The Teachers Association of Karachi University (KU) has announced boycotting evening classes for an indefinite period over the non-payment of salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The KU vice chancellor called an urgent meeting of the university deans after the second-day boycott of evening classes by teachers.
Teachers Association senior vice president Ghafran Alim said that the teachers had boycotted the classes due to the non-payment of salaries.
“However, all the classes of visiting faculty will be held as usual,” he added.
He also said that a meeting of the Teachers Association general body would then be held on Thursday, instead of Monday, next week.
