Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announces resignation

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced his resignation from office, stating that his political fate is now in the hands of the voters.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he has called for elections to be held in Delhi this November, even though the state elections are scheduled for February 2025.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is expected to announce the name of the new Chief Minister within the next two days.
Kejriwal’s resignation comes after his arrest earlier this year in March in connection with a liquor policy case.
