Pakistan on Sunday condemned significant uptick in the terrorist attacks from the Afghanistan soil on Pakistan and asked Taliban-led Afghan government to safeguard the border area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Foreign Office spokesperson said that terrorists are using the Afghan soil to attack Pakistan and recently seven soldiers embraced martyrdom on 14 April in one such terror attack.

The FO spokesperson termed the recent terror attacks hindrance in maintaining peace efforts in border areas.

The MOFA spokesperson said that banned outfits have continued their terror attacks on the security checkposts in border areas.

Earlier, Taliban authorities claimed on Saturday that five children and a woman were killed in Afghanistan in alleged rocket attacks by the Pakistani forces in a pre-dawn assault along the border.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns in the strongest possible terms the bombardment and attack that has taken place from the Pakistan side on the soil of Afghanistan,” government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters in an audio message.

“This is a cruelty and it is paving the way for enmity between Afghanistan and Pakistan …  We are using all options to prevent repetitions (of such attacks) and calling for our sovereignty to be respected,” he said.
