Punjab governor inquires after Pervaiz Elahi’s health

Punjab Governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema on Sunday visited PML-Q leader and Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi to inquire after his health, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During their meeting, Elahi apprised the governor of the details of the mayhem that was witnessed in the Punjab Assembly during the election for new chief minister of the province yesterday.
Elahi, who was contesting for the CM slot got injured during the ruckus in the Punjab Assembly and broke his arm.
Yesterday talking to media, he rued that he did well for the Sharif family but what he got in return was broken arm by the PML-N men.
Later, the governor while talking to media said, “I will decide whether to administer oath to Hamza Shehbaz or not after a report on commotion in Punjab Assembly and consultation with legal experts.”
He said that the violation of the sanctity of the House was reprehensible and unfortunate.
“Chaudhry Parvez Elahi conducted the proceedings of the House in a dignified manner,” he stated.
“Our character is in front of the entire nation,” he added.
