FPCCI holds Iftar dinner for foreign envoys

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) hosted an iftar dinner in honour of Ambassadors and High Commissioners as well as Consulate Generals in Karachi, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel. The dinner was organised by FPCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh. FPCCI former president Anjum Nisar was also present. The federation Vice President Shabbir Mansha and FPCCI members participated in the event. 

Consul Generals from various countries participated in the event while business leaders from all over the country were also present at the Iftar-cum-dinner.

The Consul General of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia participated in the dinner. The envoys of Germany, Italy, Sri Lanka and the Philippines were also invited. The Consul General of Oman and Kuwait also participated in the iftar.  Additionally, high-level diplomats from the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Bangladesh also attended. 

The participants lauded the efforts of FPCCI in uplifting the economic, trade, commercial and industrial activities of the country

Irfan Iqbal Sheikh appealed to envoys of friendly countries to facilitate better access to Pakistani products in their markets.

Pakistan's economic survival is related to its exports, remittances and industrial production, Irfan said. 

The consulates also appreciated FPCCI's leadership role in trade promotion.  

They promised to play a supportive role in promoting trade activities between FPCCI and Business Chambers in their respective countries.
