PCG seize hashish, betel nut worth Rs1.2b

The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) on Monday claimed to recovered drug worth Rs1.2 billion during separate raids conducted in Balochistan and Sindh areas.
According to the Pakistan Coast Guards spokesperson, as many as 800kg high quality hashish was seized during an operation in Pasni mountains near coastal area. The Coast Guards also carried out a raid on Super Highway in Karachi and recovered 26,730 kg of betel nuts from a gas tanker. The huge quantity of betel nut was being smuggled into Karachi under the garb of gas. Two culprits were also arrested from the tanker. The PCG spokesperson informed that the seized drug is estimated to be worth Rs1,285.46 million.
