Sindh govt launches People’s Bus Service in Sukkur

The Sindh transport department Friday launched the People's bus service in Sukkur, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The bus service was inaugurated by Provincial Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Owais Qadir Shah, MNA Nauman Islam Sheikh and former mayor Arsalan Islam Sheikh.
According to Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, in the first phase of the People’s bus service there will be 10 buses being operated at different routes in the city and its surroundings.
Former mayor of Sukkur Arslan Islam Sheikh said: “The fare of Rs.50 for the bus has been fixed keeping in mind the increasing price of petrol. There are separate seats for women in the bus, while disabled people can travel with wheelchairs.”
“The People’s bus service provides basic facilities to the passengers including central AC and LED”, said MNA Nauman Islam Sheikh.
