A school teacher in Daharki, Sindh set a great example of honesty by returning Rs1.7 million he found from a street to its owner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to reports, a dog had taken away the bag full of rupees from the house of a poultry dealer, Akhtar Mehr and later dumped it in the street.

Hussain Bux Soomro, a teacher at a primary school in Khanpur Mehr, said that when he left his home he found a bag containing the amount from a street. “I kept the bag in my home so that I could later return it to its owner,” he said, adding, “And when I came to know about the owner, I returned the bag along with the full amount to him.”

Soomro said that had he not returned the money, he would have been accountable on the Day of Judgment.
