JI, PTI huddles for 'protecting public mandate' to go on

The leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Pakistan have agreed to continue holding huddles to ‘protect public mandate’, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
“The JI has already expressed its reservations about election manipulations and proposed measures to protect the public mandate,” JI leader Liaquat Baloch said while addressing a press conference after meeting a PTI team led by former NA speaker Asad Qaiser.
The people's mandate was stolen, Liaqat Baloch bemoaned, stressing that conducting impartial elections in Pakistan is the responsibility of democratic forces
“Contact with PTI will continue and the JI shura will deliberate upon today’s huddle.
Asad Qaiser said the meeting between the delegations of JI and PTI was one one-point agenda and that is protecting the public mandate.
The former NA speaker has been leading his party team to meetings with other parties as ‘assigned’ by the PTI founder.
He held meetings with JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman yesterday and conveyed Imran Khan's message to him.
Earlier, he led his delegation to a meeting with Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief.
