PML-N reaches magic number to form govet in Punjab

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has emerged as the largest party in the Punjab Assembly with 200 seats, including reserved seats for women and minorities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
The party has surpassed the required simple majority of 186 seats to form the government in the province.
According to the official results, PML-N won 137 general seats in the provincial assembly, followed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with 123 seats. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) secured 10 seats, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) got eight seats.
The position of PML-N was further strengthened by the joining of 20 independent members, who extended their support to the party.
With the addition of 35 to 38 seats for women and four to five seats for minorities, PML-N has reached a total of 200 seats in the 371-member assembly.
