Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Thursday said that the government would not sit idle if the opposition had plans to form a national government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the interior minister said that the political atmosphere of the country would start clearing from March 25. “A historic military parade is going to be held on March 23,” he added.
“A new phase of politics is going to start in the country from March 24 or 25,” he said and added Prime Minister Imran Khan would emerge victorious in that political phase.
“The government will provide protection to the opposition’s public meeting on March 25 in Islamabad,” he stated and announced that there would be a public holiday for the people of Islamabad from March 21 to 24.
He also announced holding a public meeting at D Chowk on March 27.
“Are we sitting idle if you have plans to form a national government?” he asked the opposition.
“Whether Imran Khan wins or loses, I am with him,” he reaffirmed the vow to support the prime minister.
“Let the nation blacken the faces of those who sold out their conscience,” he directed his criticism at those parliamentarians who were secretly supporting the opposition in its no-confidence motion plan.
“If you have decided to become ‘Maula Jatt’, the government is also not wearing bangles,” he stated.
“I will play so beautifully for 15 to 25 days that the opposition will regret for 10 years,” he maintained.
