Transgender Shahzadi Rai files case against harassment

The police in Karachi has registered a case lodged by a transgender and social activist accusing an unidentified man of harassing her at her doorstep, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The complaint was registered at Gulistan Johar Police Station in which transgender Shahzad Rai said that the accused came to her doorstep holding acid bottles, threatened to kill her and forcibly entered the house.
Shahzadi Rai said this was the fourth incident of its kind and demanded of the authorities to provide them protection as they feel threatened from the accused, who wanted to have friendship with her.

The police visited Shahzadi Rai’s house and inspected the site.
Meanwhile, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has taken notice of the incident of harassment of the transgender activist. He announced to provide complete protection to Shahzadi Rai.
