The government has dismissed three employees of Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation for their alleged involvement in the protest, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday. 

The dismissal of the employees was done under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability Act 2006.

According to the sources, the three employees were found to be involved in anti-state activities in an inquiry. 

Those dismissed include Mohammad Idris, data processing assistant, Haroon Rasheed junior clerk, and Shahid Raza, junior clerk. They were allegedly included in those PTI activists who attacked GHQ’s gate.  

Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation Chief Officer issued a notification of dismissal. Rawalpindi district administration assured the government that full cooperation in cases filed against employees of Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi would be offered.
