Fire breaks out at firecrackers godown in Karachi

A huge fire broke out at a firecrackers godown in Karachi which was brought under control after an hours-long operation by the fire brigade team on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The warehouse near the Sea Breeze Plaza in the Sadar area of Karachi was engulfed by a fire caused by a short-circuit and the fire brigade vehicles took a few hours to extinguish the blaze.
A policeman named Ashiq who was the first to reach the site and tried to put out the fire himself was badly after receiving burn injuries. He was later shifted to a hospital.
No one was present in the warehouse when the fire suddenly broke out there.
