Punjab CM wants prices cut following oil rates reduction

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over a meeting to mull over measures to bring down the prices of commodities following the decrease in the prices of petroleum products, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The chief minister set 48 hours as the deadline to bring down the prices. He gave the task of reducing transport fares by 10 per cent
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed the Provincial Transport Minister and Transport Secretary to hold an urgent meeting with the transporters.
Minister for Industries and Agriculture SM Tanveer Ghee will hold talks with other associations in this regard.
The agriculture secretary, commissioners and deputy commissioners are tasked to reduce the prices of daily commodities.
The chief secretary will hold a daily meeting with the commissioners and deputy commissioners and review the measures regarding price reduction.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered price control magistrates and committees to play an active role, stressing that indiscriminate action against hoarders should be continued.
Relief will be given by transferring the benefit of reduction in the prices of petroleum products directly to the people, he said.
Provincial Ministers and officials concerned attended the meeting.
