Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif Monday emphasized the vital role of mothers in nurturing the love of the Holy Prophet (SAW) in their children, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the Provincial Seerat-ul-Nabi Conference as chief guest, she appealed to parents, particularly mothers, to share stories from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with their children before bed, instilling in them a deep connection to his legacy.

Maryam Nawaz recounted how her late mother and grandfather were devout followers of the Prophet (SAW).

She revealed that in her family, the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal is celebrated with great joy, much like a festival.

"Naat-recitation events have been held in our home since my childhood," she shared.

Maryam Nawaz underscored the spiritual significance of the Prophet (SAW), emphasizing that true love for him is not for those with poor character.

Citing the Quran, she said, "Allah Almighty Himself has exalted the mention of the Prophet (SAW)."

She further praised the Prophet's teachings, specifically his Sermon of Hajjat-ul-Wida, which laid the foundation for human rights and social justice.

"The ‘Khutba Hajjat-ul-Wida’ is the first manifesto of humanity, where rights for every individual are clearly defined," she noted, stressing the importance of respecting weaker segments of society, including women, and prohibiting all forms of discrimination.

In her address, Maryam Nawaz highlighted the profound respect and rights Islam grants to women, noting that "No one has given as many rights and respect to women as was given by Islam."

She mentioned that the Holy Prophet (SAW) himself demonstrated these values by honoring his daughter, Hazrat Fatima (RA).
