Shops destroyed as fire sweeps through Upper Dir market

A number of shops were reduced to ashes as a massive fire swept through a market in Upper Dir on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The blaze was spreading the market located in Dagg Pass area of Upper Dir.
There was not a single fire-brigade in the whole tehsil and the local residents were trying to douse the flames on self-help basis.
The local residents have sent SOS in the neighbouring districts requesting authorities there to sent fire-fighting vehicles and staff as the fire is spreading fast.
They said that the blaze was started due to a gas cylinder leak.
