The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved the miscellaneous application for the transfer of Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan, from Bani Gala Sub Jail to Adiala Jail.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, IHC Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the petition, while Usman Gill, the former first lady’s counsel, appeared in the court.

The court of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb called the parties for final arguments on the petition on Monday, April 22.

It is worth mentioning that the court of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb dismissed the application two days ago.

Two months back on Feb 22, the administration of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi refused to shift Bushra Bibi from her Bani Gala residence in Islamabad to the jail.

In his report submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the hearing of Bushra’s petition, seeking the court order for shifting her to the jail, the superintendent of Adiala Jail said that the petitioner could not be shifted because of security concerns.

Furthermore, the superintendent wrote in his reort, pace in Adiala Jail was already limited as 250 females were crammed into it.
