Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister Zartaj Gul expressed a diehard wish to meet the party founder Imran Khan in jail and disclosed that she has gone to Adiala Jail several times for meeting but the officials sent her back empty hands after just chatting with her.
She talked to City41 TV channel after appearing before the Duty Judge of the District and Sessions Judge Javedul Hasan Chishti in Faisalabad in the May 9 vandalism case.
The court ordered Zartaj Gul to be involved in the investigation and extended her bail till May 4, 2024.
Talking to the channel, Zartaj Gul said she wanted a meeting with the founder of PTI Imran Khan in jail and she had a strong belief that one day, her wish would be fulfilled.
Criticizing the poor performance of the provincial government of Punjab, Zartaj Gul said that checking the rotis on the tandoor is the job of the magistrate or the assistant commissioner, not Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The Punjab CM was doing the acts like Tiktokers as she has failed to run the business of the province properly.
She further stated that the federal government had also failed to control the prices of electricity, gas and petrol.
