The Swiss Parliament has passed a resolution imposing a ban on Hezbollah, reported Arab media on Wednesday. The resolution was supported by 126 votes, with only 20 lawmakers opposing it.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, this decision follows last week's parliamentary approval of a ban on Hamas, signalling Switzerland's tightening stance on organisations it considers linked to terrorism.
Observers note that these steps reflect Switzerland's efforts to align its policies with international counter-terrorism measures.
Israeli aggression in Gaza claims more lives
On the other hand, Israeli forces intensified their onslaught in Gaza, with an airstrike in Beit Lahia killing 15 members of the same family, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The violence extended to the occupied West Bank, where Israeli gunfire claimed the lives of two more Palestinians. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have killed at least 50 Palestinians in ongoing operations.
According to the health department, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 13,000 students in Gaza and the West Bank, while the total number of Palestinian fatalities in Israeli attacks has exceeded 45,000.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister hinted at nearing a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel. However, he stated that Gaza's security will remain under Israeli control even after the deal.
Hamas has refused to accept Israel’s additional conditions for the ceasefire, making the resolution uncertain.
