AJK’s jail catches fire after inmates clash with police

The building of Central Jail Rarha, Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) caught fire on Saturday after a clash broke out between prisoners and the police, prompting the fire brigade units to rush to the scene to extinguish it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.   

Sources told 24News that the clash started during the search of prisoners by the police. 

Several prisoners were injured in the scuffle, which was continuing till last reports came in.  

Additional police contingents reached the scene to control the situation.
