PM Shehbaz presides over moot on energy resources

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Saturday chaired a meeting to mull over measures to go for alternative sources of energy in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that the government has ensured that steps be taken for using alternative sources of energy especially Solar energy in the upcoming budget. He said that the process of policymaking for the use of solar energy will be sped up and this plan will soon be in its final form.
He also said that all of the official buildings will soon be shifted to solar power for their energy requirements. Pakistan has great potential for the production and utilization of energy from solar power. The production of low-cost electricity will be made possible and also great amounts of valuable foreign exchange will be saved using solar power.
Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Syed Naveed Qamar, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Adviser to Prime Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, Special Assistant Jehanzeb Khan, Chairman National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) and other related senior officials participated in the meeting.
