Man, four children die in Sheikhupura car-bike collision

Five members of the same family breathed their last in a horrific accident in Sheikhupura early Tuesday, the second day of Eidul Azha, when a car collided with a motorcycle, reported 25NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased included a man, his two sons and two daughters while a niece received serious injuries.

The police said the accident took place due overspeeding near Pandour village in Farooqabad area of Sheikhupura.

Rescue 1122 officials said the speeding car hit the six people riding the ill-fated motorcycle. The victims were travelling from Amar Sadhu to Gujjarpura area of Lahore to meet their relatives on Eidul Azha. 

The rescue officials shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

The dead were identified as Shahzad, 26, Fiza, 10, Mehak, eight, Faizan 12 and Sufyan, six. Meanwhile, the injured has been identified as 15-year-old Noor, daughter of Riasat.

The car driver managed to escape under the cover darkness.

Police said the dead bodies will be handed over to the bereaved family after post-mortem.
