Singer Aima Baig has levelled a legal notice to the local media outlet ‘FHM’ Pakistan for publishing fake news about her crush and demanded Rs.100 million as the defamation suit and also the written apology within 48 hours of receiving the notice.
On Friday, Aima Baig took to her Instagram and shared the pictures of the court documents as an evidence to show her huge fan base.
This represents the anger and confidence of Baig after facing ‘shameless yellow journalism’ and allegations put against her.
“This is high time when we should stand against yellow journalism and fake reporting (which is only done for the sake of comments and likes). I have had enough, so I am standing up for myself and many others from becoming their next prey”, said Baig.
The legal notice reads: “A clear and impartial listening of the old interview of my client referred to by you in your post/story, would reveal without room for any doubt that my client never made such a statement which you have attributed to her. It is abundantly clear that you yourself have misused the content of her interview and distorted it, and deliberately with a mala fide intention picked it out of context and misapplied it in your condemnable act to tarnish the reputation and fame of my client.”
