35 senate candidates submit nomination papers for 12 seats of Sindh

As many as 35 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the Senate elections in Sindh and process of submitting nomination papers to 12 seats of the province is completed.


Not less than 10 candidates of Mutehda Qoumi Movement (MQM) have submitted their papers including Abdul Rauf Siddiqui, Najeeb Haroon, Abu Bakr, Aamir Chishti, Shabbir Qaimkhani, Humayun Usman, Yasmin Dadbai, Sabina Parveen, Nighat Mirza also submitted papers.


On the other hand, 17 candidates of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have submitted nomination papers including Kazim Ali Shah, Ashraf Jatoi, Masroor Hassan, Nadeem Bhutto, Sarfraz Rajar and Dost Jessar submitted the papers at the general seats.


PPP’s Barristers Zameer Ghamro and Sarmad Ali were also among those who submitted papers on the technocrats.


For women's seat, Quratul Ain Marri, Rubina Qaimkhani, Musrat Niaz submitted papers while Poonjomal Bhil is included for the minority seat.


Covering papers of Azam Dhamra, Javed Nayab Leghari, Karim Khawaja, Ghanurasran, Sidhumal Surindrolasi have been collected.


Faisal Vawda submitted his papers as an independent candidate.


6 candidates supporting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) 7 candidates also submitted nomination papers including Ali Tahir, Raja Khan Jakhrani, Abdul Wahab submitted the papers for the general seats while Abdul Wahab and Manzoor Bhatta submitted nomination papers on technocrats whereas Bhagwan Das Minority and Mah Jabeen submitted papers for women's seats


Scrutiny of Senate election papers will be held from tomorrow to March 19.
