Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Urs to commence from Oct 21

Three-day 124th Urs of the great saint of sub-continent Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed (RA) will commence on October 21, amid tight security at Kot Mithhan in district Rajanpur, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Mahafils of Waaz, Naat, Qiraat, Conferences and Samaa will be held during the celebration.
A large number of devotees from all across the country are expected to participate in the 3-day festivity.
Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur Dr. Mansoor Baloch on Tuesday, chaired a special meeting to review arrangements for conduct of the Urs. Officials from different departments including Auqaf, Health, WAPDA, Rescue 1122, Education, Highways, Civil Defence, and Municipal Committee attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure the timely completion of arrangements.
Every possible facility should be given to devotees, especially those hailing from other regions of the country.
Any negligence in the discharge of duty will not be tolerated. He directed officers of the Municipal Committee to ensure top-quality cleanliness at the tomb.
It was also decided that a seminar to highlight the services of the great saint would also be arranged.
A local holiday was announced in District Rajanpur on Urs Mubarak on Oct 23.
Leave will not be applicable to examination duty, emergency, and Urs duty staff.
In this regard, a notification has also been issued.
