A team of Wildlife Department on Tuesday night caught a crocodile that became a symbol of fear and panic for the residents of Ghotki, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The five-foot-long crocodile crawled to a fish farm from Indus River through Qazi Wah canal and has been occupying fish ponds in the area for the past one month, the TV channel reported.

Many fish farm owners left the area due to the fear of the crocodile, the Wildlife resources maintained.

The crocodile hid during the day time and at night the creature sneaked from one pond to another to eat fish in Ghotki.

However, the Wildlife Department team finally ‘arrested’ him in the pond of Sain Anwar Shah Safari Park after four-hour strenuous efforts.
