Women Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Monday wrote letter against Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Fazl-ur-Rehman to Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) as he has been using abusive language for the last few months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The letter written by female MPAs of PTI stated that PDM president Rehman has been using abusive language against them since the last few months in his press conferences and rallies and demanded that this issue should be taken into notice by the commission and should be raised officially before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
This is not the first time Fazl-ur-Rehman has misbehaved with women. Since his own party’s Women wing is dysfunctional, he has forgotten the manners and etiquette of behaving with women. Such leaders forget Islamic and moral values about women in their greed for power. This type of atmosphere makes it very hard for women to be a part of political and democratic activities. The Character assassination of women and throwing dirt on their names is not at all acceptable under any circumstances, stated the letter written to CSW.
The Chairperson Parliamentary Women's Caucus Dr. Sameera Shams, MPA Madiha Nisar, Ayesha Bano, Ayesha Naeem, Sajida Hanif and Aasia Saaleh Khattak signed the letter sent to CSW.
