Another monkeypox case detected in Pakistan

Another monkeypox case was found in Pakistan on Thursday.
This time, a 32 years old man coming from a Gulf country has been diagnosed with the monkeypox virus.
According to the federal authorities, the affected man is a resident of Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and he had arrived at the Islamabad airport on Wednesday. He is now receiving treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
According to Prof Dr Naseem Akhtar, head of the Infectious Diseases Department at PIMS, the patient is in a stable condition.
This is the eighth monkeypox case to be detected in Pakistan this year so far.
