A local court in Islamabad on Tuesday ordered registration of a case against a ruling party lawmaker for chopping off trees outside her home in Sector F11, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Additional Session Judge Syed Faizan Haider directed the police to take action as per law against MNA Kanwal Shozab.
The court issued the order to Shalimar Police Station on an application moved by veteran citizen Raja Abdur Rahman who took the plea that Kanwal Shozab bought a house in Islamabad and cut off several trees near it.
The applicant further said that his wife also requested the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to stop Kanwal Shozab from cutting the trees after which the MNA along with her driver and guard entered his house and beat his wife.
The applicant said they broke his wife’s mobile phone and also threatened to kill her.
