Notification issued for extension of three PHC judges

The Ministry of Law has issued a notification to extend the tenure of three additional judges of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) till the final decision of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
The notification states that Justice Khurshid Iqbal, Justice Shahid Khan and Justice Fazal Subhan will continue to serve as additional judges of the PHC until the next meeting of the JCP, which is expected to decide their permanency.
The JCP had earlier extended the tenure of the three judges for six months instead of confirming them as permanent judges of the PHC.
