The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) issued a notification Thursday, announcing a reduction in the prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from January 1, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification, the price of LNG on Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has been reduced by 7.81% or $1.12 per million British thermal units (mmbtu) to $13.69 per mmbtu.
Similarly, the price of LNG on Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) system has been reduced by 7.85% or $1.21 per mmbtu to $14.24 per mmbtu.
The notification said that the reduction in LNG prices was due to the decrease in international market prices of LNG and the adjustment of previous under-recoveries.
Ogra said that the new prices would be effective from January 1, 2024 till January 31, 2024.
