Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that difference of opinion and concerns of allies are the beauty of democracy.

“Overthrowing the coalition government is out of question,” he said while talking to delegations at Governor House in Lahore on Thursday.

As Pakistan is in a difficult situation because of Covid-19 outbreak, all parties should support the government in the ongoing war on the deadly bug, he said,

Sarwar said whenever allies showed reservations, opposition sprang into airing rumours about the government ouster and this time too, the opposition will face disappointment as talks with BNP leadership are underway.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has a clear policy of taking all the allies together.

He continued: “Public voted the PTI to power for five-years, so the opposition should play its due role. Time is not ripe for political gimmick. This is time for made concerted efforts to cope with Covid-19 challenge.

“The government under PM Khan is using all its resources to fix problems. Promises made will be fulfilled. Since the government has come to power, some political pundits are giving dates of end of government. This attitude is dangerous.”

About NFC Award, he said, it is the collective responsibility of federation and provinces to fight against fiscal odds.

He added: “Provinces can also not escape responsibility because it will pose profound danger to the federation of Pakistan. We have reserved additional funds to fight Covid-19. Our government is implementing the 18th Amendment.

“This amendment is a profound constitutional hallmark of our political history. However, the constitution is a living and evolving document that always accommodates on-going changes in challenges.

“The international media is praising the economic policy of government. Today the whole world is moving towards smart lockdown which is the only feasible option.”
