Brother shot dead over distribution of Qurbani meat in Azad Kashmir

When the occasion of Eidul Azha is extending celebrations all around the world an unfortunate incident over distribution of Qurbani (sacrificial) meat has turned this sacred event into a mourning at a house in Azad Kashmir on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident occurred in Shawai area of AJK capital Muzaffarabad wherein a disagreement among four brothers over the distribution of Qurbani meat led to the murder of one of them.

The four brothers came to blows over the meat distribution and one of the brothers, identified as Nawaz, injured another brother, Asad, and their father with a knife.

Enraged Asad then shot dead Nawaz. The police have arrested two brothers including the murderer as it pressed ahead with the investigation into the sad incident.

The personnel of Sadar Police Station shifted the dead body to a hospital for post-mortem, DSP Syed Ishtiaq Gillani said, adding real facts will be shared with the media after the completion of the investigation.
