Today is the 18th death anniversary of one of the legendary actors of Asian Silver screens and the ‘Emperor of Emotions’, Mohammad Ali who has made history with his outstanding performances in 300 Pakistani movies.
Mohammad Ali has luckily won 10 Nigar awards in his long film career starting from 1964 to 1984. He has also been awarded with two prominent accolades of the country including the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 1984 which is the third highest civilian award in Pakistan from former president Zia ul Haq in recognition of his lifelong services to the entertainment industry of Pakistan and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence), the second highest civilian award in Pakistan.

Mohammad Ali started his career with his first film 'Chiragh Jalta Raha'. He was well recognized for the excellent delivery of emotional dialogues and incredible command on tone.

His first film Chiragh Jalta Raha was somehow a lucky charm for him as during the shooting he met with her loved one Zeba Beghum whom he later married.
