The meteorological department has forecasted rainfall in the upper regions of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a recent interview with a private TV channel, the department’s director, Dr. Babar, forecasted rain in the northern regions of the country on March 20 and 21.
The department further stated that the cloud cover would lead to a decrease in temperature in the upper areas, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
In contrast, Karachi is predicted to experience heat until March 20. The weather reporters attribute this to the dry winds blowing in from Rajasthan.
However, relief is in sight for the residents of Karachi as well. From March 21, a western system is expected to enter the country, reducing the intensity of the heat in the city.
The temperature is expected to decrease due to the restoration of sea breezes from the southwest.
Meanwhile, the flood-affected areas of Balochistan will not receive any more rains, providing some respite to the residents dealing with the aftermath of the floods.
The department continues to monitor the weather patterns closely and will provide updates as necessary.
