PRA announces changes in rules for collection of sales tax from restaurants

Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has announced changes in rules for collection of sales tax from restaurants, reported 24newsHD TV channel.

According to new rules revised by PRA, now the tax of all the branches will be collected from the main branch of the restaurant. And sale tax will not be collected from different branches of restaurants individually.

Now on ward the central office will collect the taxes from all the branches and give it to the PRA.

PRA officials said this initiative aimed at bringing transparency in tax collections.
