Constitutional bench formed to hear media personnel salaries case dissolved

The constitutional bench, formed to hear the petition filed against a private TV channel for not paying salaries to its employees, was dissolved on Tuesday after Justice Ayesha A. Malik recused herself from the bench, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The judge called for the constitution of a new bench to hear the case.

A seven-member bench, headed by Justice Ameenuddin Khan, heard the case.

The case’s hearing was adjourned for an indefinite time period.
