Meesha Shafi calls out Lux Style Awards for not nominating female singers

Meesha Shafi a well-known Pakistani singer on Tuesday shared a story on the photo and video streaming application Instagram in which she mentioned all the female singers of the Pakistani music industry which were not nominated by the Lux Style Awards this year.

This was a big negligence done by Lux Style Awards that they ignored all the female singers.

Meesha in her Instagram story openly pointed the Lux Style Awards and said “Not a single woman nominated in the LSA music nominations. Erasure at this scale (there is an exceptionally high number of nominations this time) of the entire female population occupying the Pakistani music industry is unjustifiable and highly problematic”.

Concluding the note, Meesha said Lux Style Awards (LSA) is accountable and should be answerable for this blatant discrimination.
