Nurses being deprived of higher education

A number of nurses have been deprived of the classes of post-graduate courses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Dozens of nurses serving in various teaching hospitals across the province were selected for post-graduation courses like the Post-RN BScN program and one-year specialization course.
These courses have been started on October 1, 2022, and the selected nurses were supposed to join the courses after getting relief from their duty in teaching hospitals.
However, the respective health facilities did not release them and resultantly, they could not join the classes in time.
On coming to know about this situation, the Department of Specialized Health and Education sent a letter to all the Vice Chancellors, Principals, and Medical Superintendents of the teaching hospitals. They have been directed to relieve the selected nurses immediately for attending the classes.
