and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar filed an application to hold a public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on September 21, 2024.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf has already filed two applications to hold a public meeting in Lahore, but both applications were rejected by the provincial authorities.
One application was filed by Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf Punjab Akmal Bari and the second application was filed by PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan.
In his application, Ahmad Khan Buchar sought permission to hold a public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan on September 21 instead of September 22, 2024.

Ahmad Khan Bhachar has filed a separate petition in the Lahore High Court to stop arrests for PTI leaders during the public meeting scheduled on September 21.
