Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has agreed to vote for PPP and PML-N candidates in the Senate elections at the Centre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PPP leader and former PM Yusuf Raza Gilani and PML-N leader and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called on Maulana Fazl Rehman at his residence in Islamabad on Tuesday and after lengthy negotiations both leaders succeeded in convincing the JUI-F chief to vote for their respective candidates at the Centre.

After the talks, the JUI-F chief assured them that his party would support PML-N’s Ishaq Dar and PPP’s Mehmood-ul-Hassan.

Earlier, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had announced that JUI-F will boycott the upcoming by-elections of national and provincial assemblies and instead launch protest movement from Balochistan on April 25 against ‘massive rigging’ in the Feb 8 general elections,.
