Case filed for removal of Imran Khan as PTI head

An application has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) for the removal of Imran Khan from the chairmanship of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
Justice Muhammad Sajid Mehmood Sethi of the LHC will hear the case tomorrow (Nov 3). The application was filed by Muhammad Afaq Advocate and the court would hear the case as an urgent case.
The federal government, election commission, PTI Chairman Imran Khan, and others were made parties in the petition.
The applicant pleaded to the court that the Election Commission has disqualified Imran Khan Niazi from National Assembly Constituency 95.
After the disqualification, Khan does not have the privilege to hold the national assembly membership and the slot of chairmanship of the party, he argued.
