Pakistan, Russia ink MoUs for initiating joint commercial activities

In an important breakthrough in economic ties between Pakistan and Russia, the two countries have signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for collaboration in different sectors, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to Pak-Russia Trade and Investment Forum, under these agreements, both countries will initiate joint business activities in trade, investment, tourism and other sectors.
The MoUs were signed at a ceremony, which was held in Moscow and was attended by Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Russia’s Deputy Minister for Trade Alexey Gruzdev, Russian Federation’s Adviser for Minister Transport, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Russia Khalid Jamali and the country’s senators Danish Kumar and Zia Langu.
Speaking on the occasion, the federal minister said the purpose of his Russia visit was to bring businessmen and investors of the two countries closer.
He said that the signing of MoUs between Pakistan and Russia was a welcome step and a good omen.
