Wildlife Department seizes rare crocodile in Kasur

Punjab Wildlife Department team seized a rare seven-foot-long crocodile from illegal possession in Kasur. The market value of the rare crocodile is said to be millions of rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to details, Punjab Wildlife Department’s raiding team recovered the rare crocodile from illegal possession of a man.
The rare crocodile later shifted to Gatwala Wildlife Breeding Centre.
It is necessary to mention here that crocodile’s skin and meat being used in some countries of the world as diet.
On the instruction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Wildlife Department has already started a crackdown against smuggling of rare animals in the province.
Senior Punjab Minister Merriyum Aurangzeb lauded the outstanding performance shown by wildlife department team.
She said that on the instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz comprehensive and effective strategy is being adopted for safety and protection of wildlife because these creatures playing vital role in human life.
Punjab Wildlife Department registered a case against the accused person.
