20 pairs of shoes stolen from Parliament House’s mosque during Friday prayers

In a surprising incident, numerous shoes belonging to worshippers were stolen from the mosque of Parliament House in Islamabad during Friday prayers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A number of people including members of the National Assembly, journalists and the officials of the National Assembly Secretariat reached the mosque to offer Friday prayer.
As the worshippers started offering prayer, their shoes were stolen from the entrance of the mosque.
According to the reports, over 20 pairs of shoes were stolen from the mosque.
The incident raised concerns among the worshipers when they came out of the mosque. Moreover, many of the worshippers could not find alternative shoes and were compelled to leave the mosque without shoes.
Meanwhile, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq took strict notice of the incident and also ordered an inquiry into the failure of the security personnel.
According to the sources, the security officials who were on duty there were not present.
On the Speaker’s directive, Joint Secretary Admin and Sergeant at Arms are conducting the inquiry and trying to identify the thief from the CCTV footage.
