The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to finalise the schedule for the Cricket World Cup 2023 matches, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The BCCI has once again considered rescheduling the World Cup matches after the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) expressed concerns regarding security, it has been learnt.

The HCA has expressed concerns about holding the matches for two consecutive days, informing the BCCI that Hyderabad police cannot provide security in case of consecutive matches for two days.

Earlier, the match between New Zealand and Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium was rescheduled on October 9, and the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was rescheduled on October 10.

The Pak-Sri Lanka match was originally scheduled to be held on October 12 in Hyderabad, but it was rescheduled to be held on October 10 after the police expressed security concerns.

Similarly, the Pak-India match was originally scheduled to be held on October 15 in Ahmedabad, but it was rescheduled to be held a day earlier on October 14.

The Pak-India match was rescheduled a day earlier due to the Navaratri festival while the Pak-Sri Lanka match was rescheduled two days earlier due to logistical issues.

Moreover, the match between Pakistan and England was to be played on November 11 in Kolkata, but it was rescheduled a day later on November 12 due to the Kali Puja festival.

It is to be noted here that the schedule of nine matches, including three matches of Pakistan, has been changed. The date for the World Cup matches is drawing nearer, but a change in the schedule is under consideration once again.
