LDA asphalt plant function again

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has directed to make the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) asphalt plant functional which had been closed from 5 years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
He issued directive after inspecting the plant control room. He reviewed the working of the asphalt plant and issued directives to control the smoke being emitted by it.
The Punjab CM also directed to ensure the safety of the workers.
Director General LDA briefed him about the project. He said that LDA will repair and do the patch work needed for the city roads itself after the functionalization of the plant.
The Asphalt plant has been closed since 2018 and on the special directives of the Chief Minister, it has been made reusable, he briefed.
All administrative affairs of the asphalt plant will be handled by TEPA, LDA as M&R section has been set up in TEPA, LDA for road repair and maintenance, DG briefed.
Chief Secretary, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, CCPO and others were also present on the occasion.
